Mini Apple Pie Cheesecake Shooters

We can’t believe it’s already fall! The weather is finally cooling down and we’re kicking off the new season with a festive dessert recipe. We love mini desserts for holidays and get togethers, especially these apple cheesecake shooters because they can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator.

Our Senior Event Specialist, Rachel, harvested apples from her garden and made a batch of amazing apple butter. We love sweets here at A Classic so making a fall dessert with her homemade apple butter was a must. This no fail recipe is unbelievably delicious,  easy to make, and always a crowd pleaser!

MINI APPLE PIE CHEESECAKE SHOOTERS

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cups diced apples
  • 1 cup apple butter
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • whipped cream
  • cinnamon graham cracker sticks, crushed and whole

Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.  Add apples and cook until they soften, about 5 minutes. Stir in the apple butter until well combined. Remove from heat and pour into a lined 9 x 13 pan. Cover and refrigerate until cooled, about 20-30 minutes.

Meanwhile, add heavy whipping cream to a chilled mixing bowl and beat until stiff peaks form. Pour into another bowl and refrigerate. Next, add softened cream cheese and caramel to mixer bowl and beat until smooth. Fold in whipped cream until thoroughly combined.

We are using our 5 oz. juice glass and our 1.5 shot glass to display this festive dessert. To assemble, spoon the caramel cheesecake mixture into a large Ziploc bag and snip to corner for mess free piping. Pipe about 1-2 tablespoons of caramel cheesecake into the glass/shooter and layer in about 1-2 teaspoons of apple mixture and repeat to create 2 layers of each. Repeat with remaining ingredients.

Garnish with whipped cream and cinnamon graham cracker crumbs and sticks. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Display with our demitasse spoons and enjoy!

Short on time? Whip up the semi-homemade version in minutes with these time saving short cuts:

-purchase precut apples at your local grocery store or use your favorite prepared apple pie filling

-cut your favorite cheesecake into cubes or use Philadelphia’s prepared cheesecake filling

-use whip cream in a can
